French Drains

Efficient solutions to prevent water accumulation and protect your property.

Proper water management is essential to protecting any property. Our French Drain Service, offered by JFB Concrete LLC, is designed to redirect excess groundwater and surface water, preventing problems such as flooding, erosion, structural dampness, and foundation damage.

This system works by installing a perforated pipe surrounded by gravel, which captures and channels water away from critical areas. It's an efficient, discreet, and highly functional solution for keeping your spaces dry, safe, and in optimal condition.

Our Drainage System Installation Process

For this process we perform:

  1. Site assessment

Detailed analysis of the affected area, considering:

  • Areas where water accumulates
  • Soil type
  • Natural slopes of the terrain
  • Proximity to structures (house, yard, foundation)

This allows us to design a drainage system tailored to the specific needs of the project.

  1. System design

We determined the location and route of the French drain, defining:

  • Trench depth
  • Direction of water flow
  • Discharge point (safe zone or evacuation system)

Design is key to ensuring efficient long-term operation.

  1. Trench excavation

We carefully excavated the trench following the design specifications. The depth and width were adjusted according to the volume of water to be handled.

  1. Preparing the base

We place an initial layer of gravel at the bottom of the trench and, in many cases, we install a geotextile fabric that helps to:

  • Filter the water
  • Prevent sediment from entering
  • Extend the system's lifespan
  1. Installation of the perforated pipe

We installed the special pipe with perforations correctly oriented to capture the water. This pipe is the core of the drainage system.

  1. Fill with gravel

We covered the pipe with gravel, allowing water to flow easily into the system. The gravel facilitates filtration and prevents blockages.

  1. Closure and finishing

We seal the trench with more gravel or soil, depending on the desired finish:

  • Covered with grass (discreet)
  • Decorative stone finish
  1. Testing and final inspection

We verify that the water flows correctly through the system and that there are no obstructions or failures.

At JFB Concrete LLC, we offer smart water management solutions, protecting your investment with efficient drainage systems.
